回覆 (228): holy grail of best sound...
No sound no matter what she does......I also thought of it as a perfect idea at first but then, the more I drill on about the idea, the less desirable seems.

Here is the thing, we all like good sound. Right? Even if good sound means differently to us. After all, sound is part that major arouse that put us into the right mood for the right thing. And if that is the case, may be, I still prefer tubes that makes the right sound as well as glow instead of just pretty to look at!

In another word, tube la! More air, more of the likeable distortion and glow in the dark. Pretty to look at lor!

Check the attenuator first ^^ ...but in fact, no sound no matter what she, that's ideal, isn't it?

I was at a meeting with a fashion client today about subtitling one of the product video of the season. Other than the usual editing and translation I do for the client, there was a two minutes intro require suggestion of an add on backdrop music to complement the video. After over an hour of ???? and ball throwing, the client finally managed to express a tune she likes and ask if any of us realize what it may be. Ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha! No one knows lor when she mention about an Air France ad and the music in it. And you know what? I got it right at the spot.

So, not only I managed to stop the dead air, I got her attention and also went on to suggest a tune for the video. Ha ha ha!

I tell you what, women are simple and straight forward! You read or you don't read! She likes or she doesn't!

Here is the video I probably have uploaded it about a year ago. Women love it! You?

The film was taken place at SALAR DE UYUNI in Bolivia and the music is Mozart K488 Adaigo.

回覆 (214): How to spend in 2015?
Bet you haven't seen this,
-------------------------------------

No ar! 4.9kg......WTH!

For A -B comparisons

1. A Linn LP12 weight 10kg without arm, cartridge and power supply which is about the weight of two light bikes such as the Stevens Comet.

2. A pair of Rogers LS3/5A weight roughly 11.7 pounds each which work out to be around 10kg a pair. Twice the weight of a very light weight bike lor!

3. Here you go: A Kuzma airline that many owners at 1pk regard as the "King ' of linear tracker weight roughly 4.5 pounds or 2.1kg alone without all the pumps and filters which is about half the weight of a Stevens Comet bike but let just wait......because that's not the end of the story. A Kuzma when set up properly can give a frictionless bearing withstanding over 10kg load. That work out to be roughly two very light weight bikes such as the Steven Comet lor! Meaning you can actually hang two Stevens Comet bikes or two very light weight bikes on the Kuzma airline and it can still manage to move horizontally freely and track/ read your Deeca LP with their 120psi tubular wheels! Ha! Like?

If you want to have the best, have it custom made lor! Here is one for you. KGS custom bike start from USD20,000 to USD32,500 or roughly HK$220,000 for a full bike.

Of course, there are even more exclusive and expensive bikes out there such as the Aston Martin with a price tag of USD37,000 but for pure roadies, this is good enough for you la, right?

The storck you see in the last post cost roughly HK$160,000.- which is a lot of money for a two wheels, right?

Wait till you see this one below. Just the frame cost no less than HK$75,000. A full bike with Campagnolo new 11 speed groupset expect to cost a total of no less than HK$180,000.! The brand is fairly new named SCAPPA. The frame is hand made in Italy and offer custom geometry to buyers.

Storck is a german brand famous for making some of the lightest bikes in the market. Here is one special edition that comes with full bike weight of sub 5.4kg. For your reference, the UCI lowest weight limit for a road race bike is 6.8kg. Meaning you get disqualify to race with a bike less than a total weight of 6.8kg lor!

As for Lavagulin 12 the question is which year ?

Those Signatory bottlers, I guess they buy full cask and bottle themselves. So why ?
--------------------------------------------------------------
I recently crack open a bottle of Laphroaig 18 years during a one cold evening. Very nice but not as attractive on the nose than a good Lavagulin 12 or 16.

I am more of a wine drinker than whisky but the knowledge behind fascinate me a lot. I sometimes get tired easily on exaggerated wine talk but never seem so on whisky lor!

I will be travelling, any high hands want any limited editions bottles from the airport, let me know before 26th.

The one thing seems consistent is that they are all either Speyside or Islay. Long long long time ago when I didn't know shit about whiskey (i still don't btw), I found myself only like shit from Speyside, Islay or skye. Then there were people said how they swear on shit from highland, lowland which I never like .... These days for me, as long as it's from those speyside, ilay, I will drink till I puke ... So don't offer next time when you see me ....

As for Lavagulin 12 the question is which year ?

Those Signatory bottlers, I guess they buy full cask and bottle themselves. So why ? well not all stuff made by Laphroaig is made available to public using their label and the same again with Imperial of Speyside. These casks are sold off as whole.

I recently got some Nikka also from the barrel.

Student bobui has one more question.

Is Signatory just a bottler? Not a distiller, right? If so, why would big names such as Laphroaig or Imperial let their special vintage casks be bottled by Signatory and not by their own labels? The Signatory logo is much larger than Laphroaig wor! Kind of strange to me lor! I mean, I can see example from a different industry such as in Car where AMG branded with Mercedes but the Mercedes logo always dominate and AMG basically only work on and with Mercedes cars, right? Not with others lor!
