Can the Araldite be removed by acetone also ?

I am afraid not. No worries, there appear little chances for mistake here and what's more important, this epoxy would get you a permanent fix which is going to last for life.

Don't forget BTW to have the problem area thoroughly cleaned before you apply the epoxy or nail enamel.

Morning king648,

Unless you are a skilled carpenter, using Weldwood contact cement is likely to end up in a mess like we did years ago. The best alternative, IMHO, is to use epoxy, the transparent Araldite, to nail down the U-turns at the top and bottom of the diaphragm. The rest can easily be finished with nail enamel.

For more detailed illustration, please refer to Page 27 ~ 30 from the archived Panel thread in the yellow zone at the top of the index.

Repairing MG 3.5R
Dear all Panel Masters,

I'm seeking advice from the experts to repair my Magnepan 3.5R. I got the speaker a month ago and found the wires of the mid bass panel were detached. I searched the internet especially this site, and got some information about repairing the speaks. But I cannot found the glue "weldwood " as recommended. Can anyone tell where to buy it or any alternative for it ??
